Landscape Restoration - Designs

Papillon has embarked on a multi-year program to renew common gardens, replaced declining plant materials, much of that original to the early 1980's build.  The program has been broken into 7 phases including the front gates and Ringwood Meadows abutting common gardens as well as the six cul de sacs.  Prioritized by the condition of the existing plant stock, one phase is addressed each year. In order, Phase 1 consisted of the 12 Papillon Gate Beds and the Common Gardens along Ringwood.  The Cul de Sacs are being restored at a rate of one per year in the  following order: 4,3,6,5,1,2.  Cul de Sac 5 is the target for 2025. For clarity, the focus of the restoration is on the building end and back of building plantings.  The designs are updated annually based on learning from previous phases. In some instances, the Landscape Committee will update previously completed phases based on experience garnered.

Residents have been asked to support the Association by investing in the Limited Common Use Areas adjacent to their homes.  This includes the courtyard and garage-side beds.  The details of the accelerated design approval process for these areas are included in the Landscape Section on the website.  As well, sample designs and the Approved Plant List is also included here.  There is also the opportunity for residents to sponsor common gardens at Papillon.  Details of this program are posted.
